Master Elias Biescas started training in 1975 with Korean Taekwondo and Hapkido Master Hyong Seong Kim in Venezuela. Master Elias has been teaching Taekwondo in England since 1986. He is a 6th Dan Kukkiwon Certified Black Belt and has been an International medallist in sparring, technical, and destruction competitions. Twice Venezuelan National sparring Champion. He is a well respected BTC registered instructor and recognised grading examiner and referee. 6th Dan Master Gemma Biescas (then Jones) achieved her 1st Dan black belt in 1988 training with 7th Dan Korean Master Han You Guen. Master Gemma’s International achievements include a Silver Medal at the European Sparring Championships – Croatia 1994. 18 International sparring medals, represented Great Britain 1991 – 1998 including 3 European Championships Spain 1992, Croatia 1994, Turkey (technical) 1997, the World Championships New York 1993, and the World Cup Cayman Islands 1994. British sparring champion 1992-1995, British technical champion 1996 & 1997. Currently a member of the Great Britain Poomsae technical squad 2008. BTC registered instructor, examiner & Referee. Qualified personal trainer, nutritionist, ante/post natal trainer, and Navy fitness instructor. |
